These videos are great for the following States: Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico and New York Nurse Aide exams. The Competency Examination for these states consists of two tests, a Written Test and a performance-based Clinical Skills Test. You must pass both the Written and Clinical Skills tests within two years and three attempts.
Clinical Skills Exam
The following is a list of 21 clinical skills that you may be asked to perform during the Practical test. Indirect care and Hand washing is included in each exam. A group of three skills will be performed and evaluated by a Registered Nurse whom is employed by Prometric, Inc. This portion of the exam is allowed only 35 minutes.

Indirect Care includes behaviors that are part of every skill tested for the Clinical Skills Test. Indirect Care includes communication, resident rights, safety, comfort and Standard Precautions (infection control). Indirect Care is rated during your performance of each skill.
